We were delighted to partner with the groundbreaking Imani Winds, known for their innovative educational initiatives, to present workshops at two neighborhood public secondary schools in December of 2024. The Grammy-winning quintet presented an interactive performance and Q&A session for students. One student wrote of the experience: “I liked that there were many sounds that I’ve never heard.” Another said that “[Imani’s] playing makes my soul dance.”
This initiative was supported by an Innovation Grant from the Capitol Hill Community Foundation.
