Pre-Concert Talk with WETA’s John Banther on Sunday, March 2

We are delighted to welcome radio host, musician and educator John Banther to present a talk prior to our Clarinet Celebration concert on Sunday evening, March 2. John can be heard on WETA’s Front Row Washington on Monday nights and is also the host of the popular Classical Breakdown podcast. John will interview composer Reinaldo Moya immediately before the world premiere of his new work “I Will Dance, and Dance with You.” This piece for clarinet, violin, cello, and piano was commissioned by Chiarina, and we cannot wait to share it with you! 
John will also offer insights on the other works on our program: Bartók’s virtuosic Contrasts and Brahms’s beloved Trio in A minor. Carrie Bean Stute and Efi Hackmey are joined on this program by eminent clarinetist Ricardo Morales and longtime Chiarina partner Domenic Salerni on violin.
